Information and communication technologies (ICT) have a huge and substantial place in learning English. However, as usual, there are good and bad sides.
First of all, everything depends on how you use it. Initially, I will mention the good sides of ICT.
There are numerous advantages of ICT.which makes your English education better For instance, time is one of the most important issues in learning English. Accordingly, with technology, you are saving your time and gaining free time for improving your skills. Furthermore, you have a lot of chances of making practise such as speaking with native speakers online or taking some tests. Also, you can watch a movie which has the target language’s subtitle and dubbing. Besides, portability is one of the other best things with technology. You can carry your laptop or tablets with you so you can study English whenever or wherever you want.
But sometimes we are being fascinated by technology. We are using it too much for unnecessary things like playing games like mad or wasting our valuable time in social media (being too much occupied with) such as Instagram, twitter, youtube etc. Moreover, there are lots of fake information about English on internet so you can learn many incorrect or false things in English.Also, there can be some technical problems with technology such as a malfunction or disconnection. If you are connected to the technology, you may be in a big trouble.
To sum up, there are strong advantages and disadvantages when you are learning English via technology. If you use these advantages, you will learn English quickly so avoid disadvantages and learn English easily.
